Legendary Combats were reintroduced on 06 December 2009. Formerly referred to as "Special Combats", Legendary Combats are specialized combats that are randomly encountered during flight. A Legendary Combat can be identified by noting the black ribbon across the Combat screen which normally tells you the starting position of the Combat (e.g.; Fleeing, Ambush, etc.). In a Legendary Combat, the black ribbon will bear the name of that Legendary Combat.
Currently, Legendary Combats do not appear to give an additional payout bonus.
