The Pirate Faction is composed of Devs. It also includes NPC planes which are destroyed for Combat Points and to complete various Missions. On the Influence Boards, Skylands are under control of the Pirate Faction or the Hidden Fleet by default, with Captain Remy as the default Governor.
Unlike other Factions, the Pirate Faction cannot be joined.
The pirates have recently taken to running their own automated influence. Their output is seemingly mainly focused on Islo (which they seized for a short period, though the Azure League quickly reacquired it), Arcadia and Eltsina, as well as ALPHA 9, ALPHA 13, Kadath and Uurwerk. Technically, their "capital" is Tortuga (if the black name on the map is any indication, as per the coloured names for faction capitals), though they cannot be joined there.
