Change the number in "Become a Skyrate!" box - we have 5000 sign-ups already :) --Dahnraelz 00:23, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- Done, but technically, that number includes Alts. --Calvin November t/c on 02:15, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey, is anyone welcome to add things to the news section? I stuck a little piece about factional competition in there because the UFA article is pretty old now. Harris5 01:26, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- I've been using the items listed at http://skyrates.net/news.php --Calvin November t/c on 16:45, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
There's a lot of whitespace at the top of the page from that ad. The Skybrary's banner image isn't even displayed. Maybe we should move it to the top...?--Sildar 05:28, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
- This seems to be a "feature" of the "default" skin Wikia uses (I wonder if we can change the default skin... hmmm). Personally, I hate it and changed my Preferences to use good ol' MonoBook. Plus, having Adblock Plus helps. --Calvin November t/c on 16:45, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
- There definately should be a way to change it, as theres a checkbox on the preferences page that says "overwrite my preferences with admin default." Apparenly our default is "Monaco Smoke." I second the Wikipedia (MonoBook) look...I disliked the default because I actually couldn't find the edit/other buttons. Plus, wikipedia looks far more professional. -(love) 16:56, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I use AdBlock, which is why things look so bad. Lots of whitespace.--Sildar 17:06, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Warning message[]
Could we please remove or find an alternative for that "Mountain ahead" message? I've met at least a dozen people now that have read that and assumed it basically means the whole wiki is off, and I'm sure there's a whole lot more I haven't met/don't talk on the radio. Is there some way we could have it only appear on pages with the "NeedsUpdate" tag or something? To be blunt I'd be surprised if it helped inform anyone that there have been changes, and I'm sure it causes a LOT of confusion. It can be dismissed, but newbies don't know that, newbies don't know why they would want to dismiss it, and since they're probably not logged in, they can't actually dismiss it.--Athena "Kitteh" Sterling 02:54, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. I've removed it. I'll look into finding a better way to provide a similar notification next time. --Calvin November t/c on 04:33, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you. A notice on the main page is probably enough, or maybe clearer representation of what needs work/how people can help.--Athena "Kitteh" Sterling 04:05, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
