After the Principality Wars, the scientists and inventors of the Commonwealth would annually meet for a Symposium of Free Ideas at Valvia. Here, inspired by wonders of energy and engineering, they would allow their minds to exchange ideas freely, for the pure joy of unbridled thought. However, this unity was not to last.
Since 166 AU, Valvia has annually hosted The Grand Fireworks Extravaganza, a fireworks show on the night of Birthday (Fuselicorn 15th). The show was suspended from 186-190 AU during the Skytopian Civil War. It resumed with great fanfare and has run without error since then.
Valvian 'Sports'[]
Inspired by Ellington, fliers in Performance planes sometimes attempt to thread their way between the windmills on the underside of the island. Obscenely dangerous and difficult, crashes often result in death and significant property damage.
